Mood Board: Festa Della Pizza

Let’s Plan a Gathering 

After returning from our family summer trip to Italy, we were inspired to bring a little taste of Tuscany to Tallahassee and gather the whole family for a pizza party. René and I wanted to plan a casual but elevated, weeknight get together to recap our trip, share memories, and fire up our new outdoor pizza oven and replicate our favorite Italy trip pizzas. 

The Inspiration 

At the villa the family stayed at, we celebrated two pizza nights. We were able to pick out the ingredients to customize the pizzas, and the cook at the villa fired up the pizza oven with olive wood and showed us how to make homemade pizzas.  

The Mood 

The summer, pizza-filled air was full of laughter, jubilance, and conversation. A few descriptors of the evening:

The Colors 

We kept it simple, tasteful, and Tuscany inspired for our gathering with natural shades and neutral fundamentals.
