Mood Board: Times Around the Tailgate
Autumn is one of our favorite seasons of the year. The cooler weather, the hustle of back-to-school season, and the excitement of college football are just a few reasons why we enjoy this time of year so much. As we prepare for the new season, we can’t help but feel excited to start planning a few fall gatherings. The first thing that comes to mind is a tailgate party to truly kick off football season.
Living in a boasting college town, the energy in Tallahassee radiates from the months of August through November as we all eagerly await the Saturdays we get to gather and cheer on our favorite teams.
Over the years we have learned a thing or two about what it takes to host the best tailgate party. From delicious recipes to table décor, we have a few tried and true tips to cheer on your favorite team at your next tailgate party.
Plus, we happened to remember an oh-so-helpful article we published in the 2019 Fall/Holiday Edition of Toast Magazine and are taking some cues in planning a stylish tailgate spread for this year using a mix of some of our newest designs which - thanks to the durability of our new Acacia wood material - could work for stadium tailgates and at-home gatherings alike!
The Mood
The best way to celebrate your favorite football team is with an all-out tailgate party featuring nothing less than all the fixings for a football feast and a crowd that is geared up for the big game.
Our family tailgates typically include a picnic-style gathering full of savory small bites, a batch of a signature cocktail, and folks mingling before walking over to the stadium together.
The Gathering
Whether you choose to host a tailgate party outside or indoors, your gathering can be customized to fit your style and theme.
As you get set to host your tailgate, we recommend gathering everything you need for the perfect serving table. Layer your neutral serveware with hints of your team’s colors through stylish linens to bring a unique look to the event.
The Menu
When we gather for a tailgate party, we always like to include a spread that is easy to eat on-the-go. Tailgates are usually a place where friends and family stop by on their way to the game. No need for a full meal here - a few of your favorite appetizers and small bites is the perfect choice for a casual tailgate gathering.
