Mood Board: For Baby Firth Gathering

Let’s Plan a Gathering 

Our cousin {and niece} Logan, and her husband, Ernest, are expecting a baby girl due on New Year’s Day, 2024. In true Johnson girl fashion, we {Laura, Kyle, Sara Kate, and Mary Parker} were charged with throwing the parents-to-be a couple’s shower in Atlanta – and it was one for the books!  

The Inspiration 

With a breezy Autumn evening as the background, we wanted to emphasize the time of year and all that comes with it while celebrating the joy that comes with a new baby. Because the guest list had 50+ people, we knew we wanted the gathering to be casual but elevated, but simple to execute so we could spend as much time with our loved ones. A moodily autumnal color palette, a catered dinner menu, and a Display Shower concept was the way to go. 

The Mood 

Excitement and anticipation filled the Saturday evening air as family and friends chatted, laughed, and shared stories over tasty Cuban cuisine and signature mocktails and cocktails. A few descriptors of the evening:

The Colors 

Classic Autumn hues, bold purples and a splash of girly pinks as a nod to the newest baby girl in the family inspired the color palette.
