Mood Board: Cozy Coquette

Let’s Plan a Gathering

Join me as I gather the girls to celebrate the first hint of autumn with a warm and cozy soup, a set table of deep red hues, and flowing red wine.

The Inspiration

As I set the scene for my cozy gathering, I wanted the table to come together naturally. With hues of deep red tones accenting the natural acacia wood dinnerware, the cozy coquette evening was beginning to unfold.

The Mood

My deep blue dining room would be the perfect backdrop for a calm and relaxing evening. I purposefully pulled a few natural textures alongside bolder hues to bring a warm tone to the gathering.

A few descriptors that speak to the gathering:

  • Warm

  • Relaxed

  • Seasonal

The Colors

The hues of the season inspired the setting of my gathering. I wanted the mood to feel warm and festive. Think natural wood, darker jewel-toned colors, deep reds, and hunter greens. The lighter colors of the heirloom pumpkins bring some depth to the scene.

A Cozy Coquette Color Palette:

  • Acacia wood

  • Deep pine

  • Coquette

  • Brass

So, what’s left to plan for this gathering?

Although this is an impromptu gathering at its finest, there are few more steps to complete before we can truly dive into the cozy evening.

  1. Invite the girls – If you know me, you’ll know a quick text will suffice as a “formal” invite.

  2. Plan the menu

  3. Pull together the centerpiece elements

  4. Design the table

  5. Pour the wine and get set for a cozy evening!

Cheers,
Sara Kate
