Dee's Coleslaw Recipe

  • Simple to execute and mouthwateringly delicious, coleslaw not only delights the taste buds, but also brings a refreshing twist to your dining table. Creamy, crunchy, and oh-so-delicious, this classic coleslaw recipe was created by Laura's mother, Dee. It's been a beloved, traditional Easter lunch side for as long as we can remember, but it also works perfectly to bring along for beach days, serve at a summer barbecue, or pack with your everyday lunch.

Featuring tasty cabbage, creamy mayo, and {just the right amount of} sugar, this recipe never fails to add a crisp and refreshing touch to any meal. We are oh-so-excited to share it with you!

A Few Key Ingredients:

  • Finely shredded cabbage – Rich and tasty shredded cabbage acts as the base of this delicious side.
  • Sugar – Granulated sugar helps balance out the otherwise tanginess of the recipe.
  • Celery seeds – These seeds not only add a slight crunch to the recipe, but also a mildly bitter and earthy bite.

We love to serve coleslaw in our stylish serving bowls. If you’re hosting a smaller gathering, using a Signature White Ruffle 11” Best Bowl or Fundamental Wood Ruffle 11in Bowl, suits the dish perfectly. If the gathering is for a bigger group, our Citrus Mango Wood Footed Bowl, Signature White 13” Ruffle Best, Bowl, or our Fundamental Wood Ruffle 13in Bowl holds a larger amount. We prop up a salad server set, like our Fundamental Wood Ruffle Salad Serving Set or our Iris Blue Drop Mango Wood Salad Server Set in the bowl.

We make sure to set out small bowls like our Signature White 7in Rimmed Bowl or our Iris Blue Drop Small Bowl for self-serving, and add coordinating utensils to complete the look.

Don’t forget to set out a matching {or complementary} salad server set, like our Fundamentals Salad Server Set or our Iris Blue Drop Mango Wood Salad Server Set
