Designer


Job Overview:A Coton Colors Designer is responsible for ALL things creative at Coton Colors whether it’s designing the newest product line, creating a display fixture mock and analyzing it’s effectiveness, building an installation for our Flagship Stores’ window displays, styling a photoshoot, or creating the specifications of a product for production and following through with quality control and sample inventory. It is absolutely vital that the Designer is a forward thinker with great attention to detail, strong discernment, and takes initiative in all he/she does. This position is available at our Tallahassee, FL Corporate office.

Job functions generally include but are not limited to:

  • Get Crazy Creative: Participate as a member of the Design Team to design and develop products that are original, on brand, and in keeping with the company’s mission statement
  • Whatever They Need: Assist in creating art or design concepts that are needed from various departments when directed
  • Totally Technical: Lead the various steps of the Product Development Department from the brainstorm/concept design stage, to the specification stage, and finally the quality control process and sample inventory and storage process
  • Design Dandy Displays: Research and design new merchandising intiatives to implement for all product collections on all brand outlets and initiate the update year after year
  • It’s Show Time: Coordinate and execute the design of all temporary and permanent booth layouts
  • Save the Space: Lead the efforts to upkeep the brand visual aesthetic of the Corporate Office and Design Center and Flagship Stores
  • {Photo}shoot for the Moon: Coordinates, Styles, and Executes all Photoshoots including shopping for unique props, setting scenes, and bringing the Coton Colors products to life through photography efforts

Account Manager

Job Overview: Account Manager is responsible for applying strategic planning and achieving overall division and productivity goals. Manages all division employees, controls and manages all business processes and delivers reports on goal progress. Account Manager is responsible for applying strategic planning and achieving specific team and productivity goals by building relationships with Coton Colors customers.

Job Functions
include but are not limited to:
  • Answer phone calls
  • Develop a relationship and full knowledge of customers in assigned territory, and provide reports on customers activities, as needed
  • Actively sell to customers
  • Handle all customer requests, assisting with their needs and/or directing requests to the appropriate staff
  • Process damage claims
  • Maintain customers’ digital files
  • Act as liaison between customer and sales rep
  • Act as liaison between customer and bookkeeper
  • Set show appointments

Education and Experience:

  • 1 - 3 years' experience in customer service or sales field.

Key Competencies

  • Strong desire to serve customer and solve problems
  • Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office Software, ability to learn new software quickly

Sales Reps

Job Overview: Sales Reps responsible for applying strategic planning and achieving specific territory
and category productivity goals by selling the full line of Coton Colors products. This position is available at our
Tallahassee, FL Corporate office.

Job Functions
include but are not limited to:
  • Meeting or exceeding assigned monthly and annual sales targets
  • Assisting in ideas and development of sales campaigns and promotions
  • Maintaining accurate information for all new and ongoing leads and accounts
  • Executing call campaigns, including securing appointments for trade shows
  • Prospecting and soliciting qualified new accounts in given territory via:
    • Telephone calls
    • Written correspondence
    • Participation in industry and community events, as well as trade shows
    • Targeted travel, occasionally for multiple days

Education and Experience:

  • College degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an office setting
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication
  • Previous experience in selling and in handling customer accounts
  • Phone sales experience

CEO Executive Assistant

Job Overview: Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to company CEO. Assistant will anticipate needs of CEO by looking ahead and fully understanding all company and Executive objectives. Assistant will manage CEO’s communication and schedule and capture, organize and provide all pertinent data. This position is available at our Tallahassee, FL Corporate office.

Job Functions

Creative Coordinator

Job Overview: Creative Coordinator is responsible for the tactical execution of the Design Department. Coordinator will coordinate, track and report on all activities as it relates to the department calendar. Coordinators will be responsible for executing the calendar, controlling compliance and ensuring that deadlines are communicated and are met. Coordinators will organize and manage design department materials.

Job Functions
generally include but are not limited to:

Product Design Division:
  • Prepare timeline to monitor art development and key calendar dates to ensure on time approvals for each product launch.
  • Organize & Maintain product files, including graphic files, physical product files, product workbooks, and product database integrity.
  • Participate in evaluation of all Product Line concepts along with other Product Development Team members and coordinate the movement of the design aspects through other departments, ensuring the deadline is met.
  • Proof final spec & art files, then submit to vendor for sample production.
  • Organize & Maintain Sample Receipt from vendors, perform Quality Control Process, and coordinate transportation to & from photo shoots, shows, etc.
  • Communicate art/design changes & revisions with vendors to final sample.
  • Create & maintain the Design Elements Library.

Creative Division:

  • Assist in the organization, coordination, & execution of the Design Portion of special events (i.e. Convention, shows, hosted events, etc.).
  • Assist in the organization, coordination, and execution of photography efforts, prop gathering & shopping, product pull, and assisting with the physical requirements of a photo shoot.

Merchandising Division:

  • Assist in the coordination of the Merchandising Division of the Design Department including the upkeep of worksheets and display planograms.
  • Execute merchandising efforts on all brand outlets, create incentives for customers to execute displays correctly, troubleshoot issues, and initiate new ideas.

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate. Bachelor’s degree in art or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience. Understanding the stages of product development from concept to production preferred.

Graphic Designer

Job Overview: Graphic Designer will work within the Design Department in creation of all corporate collateral pieces (printed, posted, emailed, etc.) including but not limited to: marketing materials, print and online campaigns, social media, website design and layout, multiple catalogs and other selling collateral supporting shows, retail and wholesale. Graphic Designer will aid in research for most cost effective avenues of printing/shipping needs. Graphics Designer will ensure all corporate collateral is in compliance of Brand Identity Guide and Visual Style Guides.

Job Functions
include but are not limited to:
  • Work within Design Department to assist in design and delivery of creative:
    • Online design support for B2B and D2C (graphics/current information)
    • Email campaign support
    • In-store point of purchase and Display layout
    • Show sales tools and wall collateral (flyers/vinyl decals/selling boards/take-aways)
    • Corporate branding (email signatures/business cards/document creation)
    • Assist in Catalog Design (page layout/product clipping)
    • Gather print specs/quotes and follow through ordering collateral
    • Website design
  • Assists as needed with photography processing and edits.
  • Lead the coordination and organization of the tracking process for collateral, ensuring all pieces move through the correct review and approval process and the deadlines are met.
  • Lead the execution, training, and compliance of corporate reference tools of the Brand Identity Guides, Visual Style Guides.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Graphic Design
  • Solid design portfolio
