Road Map to Market :: Atlanta

070714_RoadMapATL-large.jpg

And we're off again... headed up to Hotlanta as we continue to live by our brand promise and “never miss an opportunity to celebrate every day”.

One of our favorite places to visit, and our home away from home, we have been coming to Americasmart in Atlanta for almost 20 years! Of course in all those years we have discovered the hottest spots to find cool cocktails, local eats, plus all the new and upcoming places to be seen. Y'all ready? Then let the celebrating begin...

121 Baker Street NW
Atlanta, GA 30313

We celebrate our love of the delicious caffeinated bubbly soda at it's birthplace - The World of Coke. It's a permanent exhibition right across the street from market featuring the fascinating history of The Coca-Cola Company {including its well-known advertising} as well as a host of entertainment areas and attractions. After going through a security checkpoint just to get inside, you'll begin your visit in "The Lobby," which features large Coca-Cola bottles made from different materials from around the world. We love the way it looks like a modern art installation created from simple bottle shapes. On your way out you'll be given a memento of your tour: an 8-fluid-ounce bottle of Coca-Cola with a special label and cap indicating that it was bottled at the World of Coke... enjoy your coke with a smile!

You really must: Sample all 64 products offered in the Taste It! exhibit.
May we suggest: Visit the "Vault of the Secret Formula" encouraging the mystique of the Coca-Cola Secret.

3321 Lenox Rd NE
Atlanta, GA 30326

This place is the embodiment of accessible fine dining and is a staple of market visits. The service is fantastic, the food is delish, and the experience makes you feel like you are a millionaire. We must have at least one dinner at Houston's while in Atlanta, and if the artichokes are out of season you may see us shed some tears!

You really must: Order the grilled artichoke appetizer.
May we suggest: The french dip au jus... who can pass up thinly sliced roasted prime rib on a toasted French-roll topped with homemade horseradish sauce that adds the perfect zing!

1198 Howell Mill Road, Suite 18
Atlanta, Georgia 30318

JCT serves what chef Ford Fry calls 'Southern farmstead cooking.' Think buttermilk-brined fried chicken, fried apple pie, chopped salad and a citified version of chicken and dumplings. It's chic comfort food that keeps us coming back for more!

You really must: Get happy and sample the Angry Mussels. The sauce the mussels are cooked in puts the giant chunks of toasted buttered bread to good use!
May we suggest: Go healthy-ish with the Vegetable Plate. Warning, it's not your typical veggie selection - it's a colorful plate of fresh in-season vegetables, prepared with butter and lots of flavor including brussel sprouts, kale, green beans, tomatoes, and foraged mushrooms. Mmmm!

912 Huff Road
Atlanta, GA 30318

Just down the street from JCT is the most impressive fabric store we have ever shopped. Three stories of upholstery fabrics, trims and furniture have us itching to redecorate every time we walk through the doors. Lewis and Sheron Textiles is a four generation, American owned and operated textile company located in the Westside Design District of Atlanta that offers design services to put their fabrics to good use. It really is a place you could get lost in, but you wouldn't mind!

You really must: Browse their endless selection of fabulous trim... it's a whole room full!
May we suggest: Grab a pair of the scissors available at the front door that you can use to cut samples. You'll have your hands full of them before you find your way out!

3060 Peachtree Rd NW at W Paces Ferry Rd
Atlanta, GA 30305

The latest chef-owned restaurant from Atlanta’s Ford Fry, King + Duke offers an adventurous dining experience in the heart of Buckhead. Named after characters in Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, King + Duke nods to classic literature and American traditions which gets us ready to settle in with a good book. A 24-foot open hearth is the restaurant’s centerpiece, and the chefs passion for cooking over wood comes through in every dish. Watching your meal cooked over an open flame is a great way to work up an appetite. Read up... on the menu of course!

You really must: Get yourself invited to one of their private events hosted behind a hidden door in the private dining room.
May we suggest: Enjoying a cocktail and some of the warm Yorkshire pudding that’s served at every table.

Follow all our fun as we continue to mark our road map to market. Get even more inside scoop on Instagram! {@cotoncolors} We still have a few more stops in Atlanta... Don’t miss a mile!
